Desculpem por não atualizar o blog antes. Eu não estava conseguindo logar, mas hoje finalmente consegui.

Os últimos dias foram todos diminuindo o ritmo dos treinos um pouco para que Patricio ficasse pronto para a luta sem ficar cansado.

Chegamos em Yuma na quinta pela manhã, mas antes disso tivemos vários problemas com a companhia aérea e quase perdemos o vôo devido a incompetência deles e também a coisas que não esperávamos: tivemos que pagar pelas bagagens, e eles apenas aceitavam cartões de crédito. Patricio e Patricky não possuem um, e se eu não estivesse com eles eles perderiam o vôo com certeza.

Outra coisa é que a política dos EUA é que eles podem olhar suas bagagens, isso é totalmente absurdo. Eles dizem que tem o direito de abrir as malas se quiserem, e foi isso que fizeram. E pegaram minhas havaianas!

No Brasil não se pode fazer isso e nós poderíamos processá-los por isso.

De qualquer forma, na sexta foram as pesagens. Patricio teve um corte de peso mais duro do que o esperado. Quando ele começou nós pensamos que seria fácil, mas o último pound e meio foi difícil de cortar.

Também, devido a uma diferença na balança que usamos e a oficial, ele pesou 146.2 pounds sem nenhuma roupa. Teve que pesar de novo depois e bateu 145.8, dessa vez usando cueca.

A rehidratação foi melhor do que esperada, ele estava se sentindo muito melhor apenas 30 minutos depois.

Tivemos a oportunidade de andar numa das carretas do Bellator, algumas pessoas da equipe foram muito solícitas em nos levar para comprar jantar já que o restaurante do hotel estava fechado.

Last 5 days

Sorry for not updating the blog before. I wasn't being able to log in, but today I finally could.

So, the last days were all slowing the pace of the training a little bit so Patricio would be ready for the fight without being tired.

We arrived in Yuma on Thursday morning, but before that we had lots of troubles with the air company, and almost missed the flight due to some incompetence of them and also due to something we weren't expecting: we had to pay for the bags, and they only accepted credit cards. Patricio and Patricky doesn't have one, and if I wasn't with them they would miss the plane for sure.

Also, the US policy is that you can't lock your bags, that's totally absurd. They say they have the right to open the bags if they want to, and that's what they did. And took my sandals!

In Brazil you cannot do that, and we would be able to sue them for doing it.

Anyway... on Friday were the weigh ins. Patricio had a tougher cut than expected. When he started we thought it would be easy, but the last pound and a half were harder to cut.

Also, due to a difference between the scale we used and the official one, he weighed in at 146.2 pounds without any clothes on. Had to weigh again later and tipped the scales at 145.8, this time with underwear.

The rehydratation went better than expected, as he was feeling much better only 30 minutes later.

We had the opportunity to be at one of the huge Bellator trucks, as some people of the crew were kind enough to take us to buy dinner as the Hotel's restaurant was already closed.

Dias 12, 13 e 14

No sábado dormimos muito - bem, eu dormi muito.

Jogamos o jogo do UFC e então o pessoal saiu pra correr na praia.

De lá para o Team Nogueira Gym, onde os irmãos treinaram.

Depois nós assistimos a luta de Chandler vs Woodard e Rogerio e Rodrigo levaram a gente pra ver o Strikeforce.

Chegamos lá na hora da luta de Melendez.

Eu estava louco para ver Aoki ao vivo, mas não tive a oportunidade. Vi a luta mais tarde no Showtime HD.

As lutas foram muito boas, mas eu não esperava que Gilbert nocauteasse Kawajiri no primeiro round, ou que Diaz nocauteasse Dayley, achei que essa seria uma finalização.

No domingo fomos ver um pouco da cidade, nos levaram ao Monument Soledad (acho que é esse o nome), e passamos a maior parte do dia na casa. Patricio e Patricky iam treinar, mas Rodrigo e Rogerio voltaram pro Brasil e a pessoa que levou eles pro aeroporto tava com a chave do CT, então tivemos que deixar para hoje.

Falando sobre hoje, eles tiveram um treino incrível nessa manhã com Gary Padilla, e estão treinando agora também.

Como Patricky já sabe com quem vai lutar tudo começa a ser bem mais específico. Patricio está no final da preparação, as coisas agora são um pouco diferentes pra ele, mas posso dizer que a preparação tem sido ótimo e não havia escolha melhor do que vir a San Diego se preparar para essa luta.

Eu vou tentar blogar mais frequentemente até o dia da luta, e talvez traga mais algumas fotos e etc!

Days 12, 13, 14

On Saturday we slept a lot - well, I slept a lot.

We played the UFC game and then the guys went to a jog at the beach.

From there to Team Nogueira Gym, where the brothers trained.

After we watched the Chandler vs Woodard fight, and Rogerio and Rodrigo took us to Strikeforce.

We got there on time for Melendez fight.

I was crazy to see Aoki live, but did not have the opportunity. Watched the fight later at Showtime HD.

The fights were great, I did not expect Gilbert to finish Kawajiri in round 1, or Diaz to knock Dayley out. I thought this one would be a submission.

On Sunday we went to see a little bit of the city, we were taken to Monument Soledad (I think it was it), and spent the majority of the day at the house. Patricio and Patricky were planning to train, but Rodrigo and Rogerio went back to Brazil and the person who took them to the airport had the key to the gym, so we had to leave it for today.

Talking about today, they had an amazing training in the morning with Gary Padilla, and are now training too.

As Patricky already knows who he's fighting, everything will start to be much more specific. Patricio is at the end of his training camp, things are a little different for him, but I can tell the preparation has been great and there was no better choice than having been in San Diego for this fight.

I will try to blog more often until the day of the fight, and maybe bring some more photos and everything!

Dias 10 e 11

Estamos vivos!

As coisas andaram meio corridas por aqui então eu não pude postar antes.

Esses últimos dias foram bem intensos, Patricky começou a treinar de verdade e Patricio está fazendo ótimos ajustes no jogo dele para o que está por vir.

A estrutura aqui e o suporte dado por Rodrigo e Rogerio Nogueira, e também a adição de novos parceiros de treinos e técnicos dispostos a fazer qualquer coisa para ajudar é algo que faz a experiência nos EUA uma das coisas mais importantes que já aconteceu na carreira deles.

Ontem, dia 7 de abril, nós tivemos a visita do pessoal de Cesar Gracie, Nick Diaz, Nate, e alguns outros.

Eles tiraram fotos com Rogerio, Rodrigo, Patricio e Patricky.

Também veio um jornalista de uma das maiores revistas do Japão, Gong Magazine, que fez uma entrevista com os irmãos. É legal que eles também vão ter exposição por lá.

Hoje eles fizeram um ótimo treino de novo, e deram uma entrevista depois para o MMAInterviews.com, infelizmente tivemos que fazer duas vezes por causa de um problema com o áudio e Patricky não pode refazer a dele porque nós tínhamos que sair. O entrevistador disse que estaria aqui à noite, mas não apareceu.

Amanhã ou segunda eu vou colocar o nome de todos que estão ajudando, porque não sei como escrevê-los, mas vou me certificar de dizê-los aqui.

Days 10, 11

We're alive!

Things have been in such a rush that I wasn't able to post here before.

These last few days have been very intense, Patricky has started his training for real, and Patricio is making some great adjustments to his game for what's to come.

The structure here and the support gave to them by Rodrigo and Rogerio Nogueira, and also the addiction of new training partners and coaches who are willing to do anything to help is something that makes this US experience one of the most important things that has happened to them in their carreers.

Yesterday (April 07) we had the visit of some Cesar Gracie guys, Nick Diaz, Nate, and others.

They took pictures with Rogerio, Rodrigo, Patricio and Patricky.

Also there was a journalist from one of Japan's biggest magazines, Gong Magazine, who made and interview with the brothers. It's nice that they're going to get exposure also in Japan.

Today they had great practice again, and gave an interview later to MMAInterviews.com, unfortunelly we had to do it twice because of some problem with the audio, and Patricky did not had the chance to do his interview again due to we having to leave. The interviewer said he would be here at night, but he did not appear.

Tomorrow I will get the names of everyone who's helping, because I don't know how to spell them, but I will make sure to let you all know.

Dias 8 e 9

Olá!

Não há muito que dizer desses últimos dois dias além do fato que Patricio tem treinado duro.

Ele está muito focado e tem ótimas pessoas por trás dele como Rodrigo "Minotauro" e Rogerio "Minotouro".

Também tem a ajuda dos técnicos do novo Nogueira Gym em San Diego, e ambos os irmãos com certeza estão levando suas habilidades a um nível ainda maior.

Ontem foi mais questão de treinar e descansar, e hoje mais do mesmo, mas com algumas coisas mais específicas sendo feitas para essa luta.

Também tivemos uma folga da comida americana - eu realmente não entendo como pode as pessoas comerem essas coisas e ainda serem magras e saudáveis, embora também haja algumas pessoas que precisam mudar seus hábitos.

Hoje nós comemos num restaurante brasileiro, a comida era muito boa e pudemos assistir o primeiro tempo do melhor time de futebol do Brasil e do mundo - Botafogo. O primeiro tempo acabou 1x0, e o jogo 3x0 (como eu disse, melhor time de futebol do mundo).

De lá viemos pra casa dos Nogueiras. Os irmãos Pitbull estão dormindo desde que chegamos do treino, vão acordar só na hora de ir pro treino de hoje à noite.

É muito bom vê-los treinar, embora eu realmente quisesse estar treinando junto, mas ainda não tive a oportunidade aqui. As coisas podem mudar, no entanto. Rodrigo disse que vai raspar minha barba e me botar no treino de Jiu Jitsu das crianças.

De qualquer forma, enquanto isso não acontece eu fico aqui assistindo e traduzindo todas as comunicações deles com os técnicos.

Days 8 and 9

Hello!

There's nothing much to be said about these last two days other than Patricio's been training hard.

He's very focused and has great people behind him like Rodrigo "Minotauro" and Rogerio "Minotouro".

Also we got the help of lots of coaches from the new Nogueira Gym in San Diego, and both brothers are sure taking their games to the next level.

Yesterday was all about practicing and resting, and today was more of the same, but with some more specific things being done preparing for the fight.

We also caught a break from the American food - I really don't know how come people here can eat these things and still be thin and healthy, although there are some people who need to change their habits.

Today we went to a Brazilian restaurant, the food was pretty good and we could watch the first half of Brazil's and world's best soccer team - Botafogo. It ended 1-0 to Botafogo on the first half, and 3-0 in the total score (as I said, best soccer team in the world).

From there we came back to Nogueiras's house. The Brothers are sleeping ever since we got here, they will only wake up when it's time for tonight's practice.

It's pretty cool to watch them train, I really would like to be training with them myself, but still didn't have the opportunity here. Things may change, though. Rodrigo said he's going to shave my beard and put me to train Jiu Jitsu with the kids.

Anyway, while that doesn't happen I'm here watching and translating all the communications between them and their coaches.

Dia da luta e depois - Dias 5, 6 e 7

Então chegou o dia da luta, Patricky passou o tempo todo dormindo, acordando só uma hora antes de sair pra o cassino.

Ficamos no mesmo vestiário de Luiz Azeredo, Rick Hawn e outros.

Infelizmente Azeredo quebrou o braço bloqueando um chute, mas foi para o hospital logo depois então achamos que ele vai ficar bem.

Patricky estava muito relaxado durante o tempo todo e na hora da luta foi só uma questão de botar em prática tudo que Patricio tinha dito no vestiário e nos dias antes da luta.

Como vocês já sabem, Patricky nocauteou Imada no começo com uma joe... coxada voadora. É, foi a coxa que bateu, não o joelho.

Patricky ficou preocupado com Imada depois, mas o pessoal do Bellator nos falou que ele tava bem, então ele relaxou um pouco, mas foi ruim ver Imada sair numa maca.

Depois da luta fomos para o vestiário, pegamos as coisas e saímos para procurar um lugar perto da grade pra assistir a luta de Eddie.

A luta foi boa, nós aprendemos algumas coisas sobre os dois lutadores, mas não focamos muito numa potencial luta de Patricky com Eddie porque ele tem uma luta muito dura pela frente contra o vencedor de Michael Chandler vs Lloyd Woodard.

Quem vencer vai ser uma luta muito dura, então Patricky vai começar seu treino essa semana se preparando para os dois, e após o resultado da luta se preparará de forma mais específica para o vencedor.

De lá fomos jantar e depois pro hotel.

Passamos a noite toda olhando comentários e artigos sobre a luta, e também vimos a luta de Patricky 500 vezes.

Quando estávamos para dormir algum idiota mexeu no alarme de incêndio e saímos correndo do quarto pra saída de emergência. Os bombeiros foram chamados, mas algum tempo depois disseram que tinha sido um idiota que tinha feito aquilo.

Mesmo eles tendo dito isso, sentimos cheiro de fumaça - bastante, e achamos que eles não contaram a verdade toda.

Vimos Eddie Alvarez festejando no lobby do hotel. Ele tava bebendo e fazendo graça/dançando ao som do alarme.

O pessoal do Bellator estava irritado com essa situação do alarme, pois estavam tentando dormir e teriam que acordar cedo para fazer entrevistas e levar o pessoal para o aeroporto.

Enfim, quando voltamos pro quarto Patricky dormiu um pouco e eu e Patricio ficamos acordados assistindo luta, porque em uma hora e meia Patricky teria que dar entrevista pro Bellator.

Depois que a entrevista foi feita nós tomamos café e fomos dormir até a hora de deixar o hotel.

Chegamos em San Diego ontem à noite, fomos pra casa de Rodrigo e Rogerio Nogueira, jogamos sinuca e fomos dormir.

Rodrigo e Rogerio são muito legais, e muito engraçados também. É uma honra finalmente conhecê-los e poder ficar em sua casa.

Hoje acordamos, tomamos café e viemos para o novo Team Nogueira Gym. Patricio e Rodrigo estão treinando, Patricky apenas olhando, provavelmente vai começar at reinar amanhã apenas.



Não temos internet na casa, então só vou blogar e eles só vão tuitar quando estivermos aqui.

Fight day and after - Days 5,6 and 7

So, the fight day came, Patricky spent the entire day sleeping, waking up only one hour before the time to go to the Casino.

We stayed in the same locker room as Luiz Azeredo, Rick Hawn and others.

Unfortunelly Azeredo broke his arm while blocking a kick, but he went to the hospital as soon as the fight ended so we believe he will be ok.

Patricky was very relaxed during the hole time, and by fight time it was just a question to put in practice everything Patricio had told him in the locker room and in the days leading to the fight.

As you already know by know, Patricky knocked Imada out starting with a flying kn... thigh. Yes, it was the thigh that landed, not the knee.

Patricky got worried about Imada later, but the Bellator crew told us he was ok, so he relaxed a little bit, but it was bad to see him go out in the stretcher.

After the fight we went back to the locker room, picked up our stuff and went to see if we could get some seats near the cage to watch Eddie's fight.

The fight was good, we could learn some things from both guys, but didn't focus too much about a potential fight with Eddie because Patricky still has a huge fight ahead of him against the winner of Michael Chandler vs Lloyd Woodard.

Whoever wins will be a very tough fight, so Patricky will start his training this week getting ready for both, and after the winner is known he will start doing something more specific.

After the event we went to the press conference and after Patricky did three interviews, so far we only found one online:

From there we went to have dinner and then to the hotel.

We spent the entire night looking for comments on the fight and the articles we could find on it, also we watched his fight 500 times.

When we were about to go to sleep some idiot messed up with the fire alarm and we ran from our room to the emergency exit. The fire-fighters were called, but some time later they told us it was just some idiot that did that.

Even though they said that, we smelled smoke - a lot, and we think they weren't telling us the exactly truth.

We saw Eddie Alvarez partying at the hotel's lobby. He was drinking and making fun/dancing by the sound of the alarm.

The Bellator crew was all pissed with the alarm situation, as they were trying to get some sleep and had to wake up early to take care of interviews and taking people to their flights.

Anyway, when we got back to the room Patricky slept a little and Patricio and I stayed awake watching some fights because in an hour and a half Patricky would have to do an interview for Bellator.

After the interview was done we had breakfast and went to sleep until the time of to leave the hotel.

We arrived in San Diego last night, went to Rodrigo and Rogerio Nogueira's house, played pool and went to sleep.

Rodrigo and Rogerio are really great guys, also very funny. It's an honor to finally meet them and be staying at their house.

Today we woke up, had breakfast and came to the new Nogueira Gym. Patricio and Rodrigo are training, Patricky is just looking, he will probably start training tomorrow only.



We don't have internet at the house, so I will only blog and they'll only tweet when we come here.

Dia 4, pesagem

(Patricky ontem, iniciando a "tortura")

Quarto dia na viagem e eu estava todo nervoso por causa do corte de peso de Patricky. Patricio me disse para deixá-lo acordar na hora que ele quisesse, e eu estava começando a pensar se ele teria tempo para cortar o peso.

Todas as minhas preocupações não serviram de nada. Patricky acordou às 1 da tarde e uma hora depois já estava no peso. Saímos pra pesagem às 3 da tarde, preenchemos algumas papeladas, Patricky fez exames médicos (por quê diabos o lutador tem que fazer exames médicos na pesagem se ele faz isso para obter a licença?), e então a pesagem.

Tudo correu bem, eu fui capaz de traduzir corretamente o que Patricky falou e até recebi elogios do pessoal do Bellator. Isso foi muito bom, porque eu estava um pouco inseguro.

Ah, a encarada de Patricky com Imada foi bem intensa, ele estava muito confiante e as pessoas ficaram bastante impressionadas com ele.

Depois da pesagem houve a reunião sobre as regras e de lá saímos pelo pelo cassino atrás de um restaurante. Comemos em um que tinha comida de vários países, e ainda tiramos fotos com uma lamborghinni.

Falando do pessoal do Bellator, são pessoas incríveis. Conheci todo mundo, até mesmo o presidente do evento, e não tenho nada a não ser coisas boas para falar deles.

Jimmy Smith é um cara muito engraçado, pegamos o ônibus do cassino pro hotel com ele e foi só risada.

Ao chegar eu e Patricio fomos treinar na sala de musculação, ele disse que vai me fazer perder a barriga, então vou fazer ele cumprir a promessa haha.

-Infelizmente não vou poder colocar o vídeo dos irmãos na neve pela primeira vez na vida porque eu trouxe o cabo errado para a câmera, não tenho como passar pro notebook. Provavelmente comprarei um quando chegarmos a San Diego após a luta de Patricky.

-Ah, bloggar morrendo de cansaço não é nada proveitoso. Eu não me contrataria.

Day 4, weigh ins

(Patricky yesterday, initiating the "torture")

Fourth day on the trip, and I was all nervous because of Patricky's weight cut. Patricio told me to let he wake up by the time he felt like doing it, and I was starting to wonder if he would have time to properly cut the weight.

All my worries were for nothing. Patricky woke up by 1 PM and one hour later he was on weight. We left for the weigh ins at 3 PM, had some paperwork to do, medical tests (why the hell does a fighter has to go trough medical tests if he does all that to have his license?), and then the weigh ins.

Everything went fine, I was able to properly translate what Patricky said and I even received complimments from the Bellator crew. That was pretty good, because I was a little insecure.

Oh, Patricky's staredown with Imada was pretty intense, he was very confident and people were impressed with him.

After the weigh ins there was the rules meeting and from there we went trough the casino after some place to eat. We ate at a restaurant that had food from several countries, and also took pictures near a lamborghinni.

Talking about the Bellator guys, what amazing people they are. Got to meet everyone, even Bjorn, and have nothing but good things to say about them.

Jimmy Smith is a very funny guy, we got the bus from the Casino to the hotel with him and had nothing but laughs.

When we got back to the hotel Patricio and I went to train on the fitness room, he said he's going to make me get rid of my belly, so I'll have him fulfill this promise haha.

-Unfortunelly I won't be able to put the video of the brothers on the snow for the first time in their lifes because I brought the wrong cable of the camera, and can't upload it to my notebook. I will probably buy one when we get to San Diego after Patricky's fight.

-Oh, blogging when you're tired does not work well. I wouldn't hire myself.

Ainda terceiro dia, neve e mais surpresas

Ficamos no quarto até a hora das entrevistas de Patricky.

Tivemos algumas surpresas, como o cinturão dos leves do Bellator - muito bonito e pesado, e os Irmãos Pitbull viram neve pela primeira vez em suas vidas (video vindo em breve).



As entrevistas foram excelentes, o pessoal do Bellator é bem legal.

Patricky treinou após as entrevistas, já começou a cortar o peso e parece que vai ser bem tranquilo.

Também encontramos Imada na sala de musculação do hotel quando estávamos saindo de lá.

Estou um pouco cansado agora, mas depois colocarei o vídeo dos irmãos na neve e algumas fotos do treino de Patricky*.

Still 3rd day, snow and more

So we stayed at the room until the time of Patricky's interviews.

We had a few surprises, like the Bellator Lightweight belt - very beautiful and heavy, and also the Pitbull Brothers got to see snow for the first time in their lifes (video coming soon).

The interviews were great, the Bellator crew is very nice.

Patricky trained after the interviews, he started the weight cut and looks like it's going to be calm.

We also met Imada at the hotel's fitness room when we were leaving there.

I'm a little tired right now, but later I'll upload the snow video and some pictures of Patricky's training*.

Terceiro dia, exames médicos, entrevistas

Hoje acordamos bem cedo, pois Patricky tinha que fazer alguns exames médicos.

Os médicos foram legais e tudo correu bem, o único problema foi que no consultório do oftalmologista esqueceram da gente, nos fazendo esperar na sala do médico por mais de meia hora para que Patricky pudesse terminar os exames.

No caminho de volta paramos numa farmácia para comprar coisas pra ajudar com o peso após a pesagem e fomos a uma loja comprar um adaptador para o netbook de Patricio.

Ao chegarmos no hotel pegamos o itinerário de Patricky e ele assinou alguns posters junto com o acordo da luta.

Não há muito o que fazer no hotel, então passamos a maior parte do tempo no quarto.

Hoje à noite Patricky vai dar algumas entrevistas e fazer uma sessão de fotos, e depois eu virei aqui dizer como foi tudo.

Day 3, medical tests, interviews

Today we woke up early because Patricky had some medical tests to do.

The doctors were cool and everything went fine. The only problem was that in the ophthalmologist's people seemed to have forgotten about us, making us wait more than 30 minutes in the doctor's office for Patricky to finish his tests.

On the way back we stopped at a pharmacy to buy stuff to help with the weight after the weigh ins, and went to a store in order to find an adaptor for Patricio's netbook's plug.

When we arrived at Hotel we got Patricky's itinerary and he signed some posters and the bout agreement.

There is not much to do at the Hotel, so we just spend the majority of the time at the room.

Tonight Patricy will have to do some interviews and a photoshoot, after that I will come back to say how it all went.

Vôo calmo? Bem que gostaríamos!

Essa imagem pode fazer parecer que tudo foi tranquilo, mas acreditem em mim, o vôo de Miami pra Hartford não foi nada calmo.



O vôo foi cheio de turbulências, eu e Patricky tivemos danos em nossas bagagens e fomos informados de que a companhia aérea não se responsabilizaria por danos externos, apenas se alguma coisa tivesse se quebrado por dentro. Simplesmente ridículo. Primeiro nos fizeram pagar pelo hotel e a comida em Miami, e agora temos que viajar com malas danificadas. Se isso fosse no Brasil as coisas seriam diferentes.

Enfim... Patricky teve que fazer uma ressonância hoje, e amanhã terá que fazer outros exames para receber a licença para lutar em Connecticut.

Passamos o dia no hotel, comemos comida picante - aliás, o que os americanos tanto tem com comida picante? Qual a dificuldade de fazer algo sem pimenta? - e descansamos.

Patricky treinou um pouco, não tem nenhum problema com o peso e tudo está indo de acordo com o planejado.

Calm flight? We wish!

This image may look to you like everything is fine, but trust me, the flight from Miami to Hartford was nothing calm.



It was full of turbulences, me and Patricky had our baggages damaged and were informed that the airline does not take responsibility for outside damages, only if something was broken inside... That's absolutely ridiculous. First they made us pay for the hotel room in Miami and our food expenses, and now we have to travel with broken bags. If it was in Brazil, things would be different.

Anyway... Patricky had to do a CT scan today, and tomorrow will have to do other tests to have his license here in Connecticut.

We spent the day at the hotel, ate spicy food - what's with the American's and spicy food? How hard is it to have anything without pepper? - and rested.

Patricky trained a little bit, no problem on the weight, everything going according to the schedule.

We also received pictures of Patricky's fight shirt, it looks pretty good, and will be on sale at BAMF Fight Gear, so please buy for you and your friends, because Patricky has bills to pay!

Olá, como estão?

Como alguns devem saber, e alguns não, por muitos anos eu fui correspondente do Portal do Vale Tudo, maior site de MMA do Brasil, e hoje colaboro esporadicamente devido a restrições de tempo e outras coisas $$$.

Eu sou o empresário de Jussier "Formiga" da Silva, e um amigo de longa data dos Irmãos Pitbull, Patricky e Patricio.

Bem, eu viajei pros EUA no final do ano passado com Jussier para sua primeira luta aqui, mas ainda não tinha em mente a idéia desse blog.

Viajando com os Irmãos Pitbull e ajudando eles em sua jornada para se tornarem finalistas do Bellator, e possivelmente futuros campeões (eles não falam inglês e recentemente perderam seu empresário Ivan Canello faleceu), eu vou ter a oportunidade de ficar na casa de Rodrigo Minotauro (o novo empresário deles) e ver/treinar com a equipe dele em San Diego, onde Patricio vai fazer sua preparação para luta com Wilson Reis.


Então manterei vocês atualizados sobre essa experiência, claro que deixando alguns detalhes de lado... vocês não esperam que eu vá dizer nada que ajude os oponentes deles, certo? Haha.

Então começando:

Saímos de Natal às 4:30 da manhã para Recife, e de lá iríamos para Miami. Chegamos em Miami (uma hora menos que Natal) às 8:04 da noite porque o vôo de Recife para cá atrasou uma hora e meia.

Com o tempo que levamos para passar pela imigração (que foi até tranquilo, o pessoal conhecia Junior Cigano, Maurício Shogun, entre outros e disseram que são pessoas muito legais - também desejaram boa sorte aos irmãos em suas lutas), e pegar nossas malas, acabamos perdendo a conexão para Connecticut, o vôo saiu às 8:45 da noite e nós chegamos às 8:55

Agora estamos em um hotel em Miami, tivemos que pagar pela estadia porque a American Airlines deu apenas um cupom de desconto, comemos uma comida excelente, mas picante - pelo menos pra mim, e estamos agora descansando no quarto.

Sairemos amanhã de manhã e devemos estar chegando em Connecticut às 1:20 da tarde.

Manterei vocês atualizados, por favor apóiem os Irmãos Pitbull em sua jornada para se tornarem campeões do Bellator, e sigam a mim e a Patricio no twitter @PatricioPitbull e @MatheusDCAquino.

Getting started

Hello, how are you?

As some of you may know, and some don't, for many years I used to be a correspondent of Portal do Vale Tudo, Brazil's biggest website, today collaborating sporadically due to time constraint and other stuff $$.

I'm Jussier "Formiga" da Silva's manager, and long time friend of the Pitbull Brothers, Patricky and Patricio.

Well, I've traveled to the US in the end of last year with Jussier for his first US fight, but still didn't have in mind the idea for this blog.

Traveling with the Pitbull Brothers helping them in their quest to become Bellator finalists, and possible future champions (they don't speak English and their manager Ivan Canello recently passed away), I will have the opportunity to stay in Rodrigo Minotauro (their new manager)'s house and see/train with the team in San Diego, where Patricio will make his preparation for the Wilson Reis bout.

So I'll keep you all updated on this experience, of course letting a few details aside... you don't expect me to say anything to help their opponents, right? Haha.

So here we go:

We left Natal at 4:30 AM to Recife, and from there we would go to Miami.We arrived in Miami (one hour less then in Natal) at 8:04 PM because our flight from Recife to Miami was delayed in one and a half hour.

With the time it took us to go trough immigration (but it was cool, the guys knew Junior Cigano, Maurício Shogun, among others and said they're pretty nice people - and also wished the guys luck on their fights), and get our bags, we ended up losting our connection to Connecticut, the flight left at 8:45 PM, we arrived at 8:55.

So now we're in an Hotel in Miami, had to pay for the stay because American Airlines just gave us a discount cupom, had some great but spicy food - at least for me, and are now resting in our room.

We leave tomorrow morning, and must be arriving in Connecticut at 1:20 PM.
